Jump Into Reading promotes a Balanced Literacy Approach where skills, strategies and routines are taught within the real context of reading with real books and authentically connected writing activities. We do not use workbooks or drill/skill dittos and pride this program on engaging students to truly enjoy the experience of real life reading and writing. The biggest advantage to this program is the child's self esteem is boosted greatly as he/she truly feels successful in this program!
Each student is formally assessed upon entrance/exit of program. Post test scores are measured against Pre test scores to demonstrate gains from the Pre test score.
